Maximum Energy Efficiency with Modus
The British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC)’s most stringent Window Energy Rating (WER) is ‘A++’ and the PVCU system we offer at Trade Windows is one of the first to have achieved this rating in England and Wales.
The latest WER of ‘A++’ was launched by BFRC in May 2015 and the specification set out is that it can only be achieved by new windows that offer an energy index value of +20 or over.
WERs are assessed using three separate factors: heat loss, air leakage and solar gain. It also takes into account the individual components including frames, if any reinforcement is used, seals and gaskets, glass, spacer bars and what gas is in between the panes of glass (i.e. air, argon).
Modus AA+ windows are available across the East Midlands from Trade Windows. They come in casement, reversible and tilt & turn styles, with the added option of more than 40 solid and woodgrain effect colours, both internally and externally.
Trade Windows gives homeowners the opportunity to have a huge choice on the look of their new windows whilst benefitting from the best energy rating available on the market in England and Wales.
And if that’s not enough, the Modus range uses 50% post-consumer recycled PVCu for an even lower carbon footprint.
At our showroom on London Road, Derby there are loads of window displays to browse as well as our four full-size brick homes on Trade Street which showcase our products.
